About the Author

Hello Friend, my name is Adelohosgi Agatahnai (pronounced Ah-day-low-ho-ski Ah-gah-tah-nah-ee). I am also known by my pen name, Christina Nicole Smith.

I'm a mother, educator, and award-winning author who has homeschooled for nearly two decades.

When the pandemic interrupted many children's education, my children were able to continue learning at home. Parents I knew began calling me repeatedly, asking what they could do for their children. In response, I started a YouTube Channel with English Language Arts Lessons for families learning at home (CNSmith_AUTHORized), wrote Say Goodbye to Public School Woes, and started a preschool!

Those experiences shaped this guide. I want parents who believe homeschooling may be right for their child but are wondering how to make it work alongside a job, family responsibilities, and real financial decisions, to have a place to begin and practical steps to help them think through what could work for their family.

"Wow! I really enjoyed that book even more than I thought I would. Adelohosgi tastefully touches on important topics on subjects that are even a bit controversial to some. I myself will eventually have children, and I plan to do so in a very well-detailed manner, but the thought of homeschooling, I’ll have to admit, is somewhat troubling to think about how I would even start. My children will definitely be homeschooled but this took the mysticism out of it and made it very practical.
